Hythe Bay Children's Centre Staff team describe our nursery as
'a nurturing and safe place for all children to grow, learn, laugh and become independent learners'.
Hythe Bay is a Trustee run Children's Centre Nursery providing a wide range of facilities for the care and development of children aged 3 months to 5 years. The setting has charity status and therefore is a self-funding, not-for-profit organisation. Built in September 2000, our main nursery has a light airy, open plan environment leading out to an extensive outdoor play area. The beach, canal, park and shops are within easy walking distance providing excellent everyday learning opportunities to extend and develop all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage: Personal Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Mathematics, Literacy, Expressive Arts and Design and Understanding the World.
We have highly qualified staff to care for and educate children, including qualified teachers and an early years teacher. Our experienced staff members have excellent knowledge and skills for supporting all children to grow and learn, including children with additional needs and disabilities. Our staff members work in partnerships with professionals, such as speech and language therapists, primary school teachers, specialist teachers, equality and inclusion team members, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, Our staff receive regular training in-house, on courses and at University.
