What do you like best about our nursery?

• Hythe Bay Nursery provides my daughter with a lovely, safe and fun learning environment. The staff are brilliant, really friendly and both myself and my child are very happy.

• The staff are wonderful and genuinely care for our girls which we love.

• Really appreciate the feedback and child development plans.

• Great variety of activities.

• How friendly and helpful everyone is, and that the staff really care about the children. 

• How open the space is rather than enclosed smaller rooms.

• All of the adults in pre-school room know the children really well and give lots of feedback at the end of the day. You can really tell they care about the children and their development.

• The staff are brilliant, and I feel like they really know my children and can always give me a detailed view of what they have been doing in the day.

"We are incredibly delighted with the Hythe Bay nursery. We drive from Folkestone every day, because it’s the best nursery around. Having tested another nursery in Folkestone (for our older daughter) and having comparison to an outstanding nursery in London, we think Hythe Bay scores really highly on several fronts. The staff is brilliant, they know all the children so well (even across rooms) and try so hard to make them feel at home by tailoring activities to what they like, making photo albums of their family, etc. We get a personalised story at the end of the day, no matter which member of staff hands over our daughter. On top of that, the staff is really stable, which means it must be a great environment to work in. Even in the outstanding London nursery there was much more change/turnover. The rooms, even though because of covid we haven’t been able to see much, look bright, clean, with a lot of different toys and play areas. They change things around as well, which we hear through stories, but can also see through the door. The outdoor space is great too and they actually take the children out a lot (both in the garden, as to the local town). The nursery takes part in a Sun Safe Scheme, which is one of the reasons why we decided to start our little on there. We know the nursery really cares about our daughter’s skin and will put sun cream on from the moment UV goes up. 

Our daughter is delighted to go (3 days a week), she walks in happily and comes back out happily. She has learned an awful lot at the nursery, and surprised us at home by doing things we didn’t realise she could yet. The nursery really stimulates her and helps her grow.

"I wanted to  say how happy we are with Hythe Bay and the care my children have received here.
F’s only been attending around a month, and in all honesty after the first settling in sessions I was really concerned how he would adjust to being at a nursery, but the effort and care that was put in by all the staff involved has made such a difference. I know he still cried at drop off, but I feel comfortable that once he’s over that initial upset (which happens even when I leave him with his dad!) that he’s well looked after. Holly clearly cares about the children she looks after, making suggestions of things that may make them more settled and comfortable. I’ve noticed so many changes in him the past month, including new skills which I suspect have been helped along by being in such a lovely environment.
Having sent D to Hythe Bay from the age of 15m through to starting school, I know that this level of care continues throughout and I’ve never been anything less than happy with the nursery. We’ve always experienced staff going over and above to help the boys be happy there. Equally, from an education point of view Dexter was so ready for school and I have no doubt this was due to his experiences at nursery."

March 2022

My son started at Hythe Bay Nursery in September 2021, in the Garden room for 3 days per week. His Key Workers, both Holley and Danielle have been so supportive and understanding since his start.

Being a first time mum and going back into work full time I was very nervous, however, Holley immediately put me at ease with the initial settling in and getting to know you sessions. She listened to all information given to her and since then, has always followed his home routines as much as possible.

Since starting nursery, my son has absolutely thrived. He is confident, eats well and is so happy to be around other children and adults. In the Garden room, my son completes a range of activities throughout the day from, reading, painting, going outside, on local trips and playing in role play areas. I am aware of all of this through the brilliant lines of communication the nursery has, as well as the positive relationship his Key Workers have developed with both me and my partner.

On pick up at the end of each day, Danielle and Holley will spend time with me discussing the activities he took part in during the day, what he has eaten and how he has slept. This, alongside photos posted on the parent app, allows me to have a snap shot of the activities he does during the day as well as feeling reassured that my child is safe and happy.

I feel extremely valued as a parent of the Nursery community. All staff are extremely supportive. They listen to any concerns I have had and will act immediately following up any outcomes with me. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, the parents have not been able to come in for special events however, the nursery have tried their best to involve us though sharing Christmas videos as well as pictures and artwork.

I am extremely happy with the care that the Nursery, particularly Danielle and Holley have given my son. They really do care about his development and well-being. I would certainly recommend this nursery to others."
